Kidder Mathews adds services

San Francisco Business Times

Brokerage firm Kidder Mathews is boosting its Bay Area operations by adding property management services and advising on valuations.

The firm, based in Seattle, has more than 70 employees in its three Northern California offices in San Francisco, Redwood Shores and San Jose.

"We have always intended to add property management and valuation advisory in the California market, to mirror our Washington and Oregon operations," said Jeff Lyon, chairman and CEO of Kidder Mathews. "Our California offices have grown to a point that we feel it is a good time to bring in this senior talent."

Kidder Mathews named Nanci Vega vice president for property management in the Bay Area and Brad Paul manager of valuation advisory services.

Vega joined the company from WCV Commercial Properties, which manages industrial space for Walton Street Capital, where she was an asset manager.

Paul has appraised and consulted on commercial real estate in the Bay Area for 25 years for firms such as Navigant Consulting, Bridge Capital Partners and Joseph J. Blake & Associates.

Overall, Kidder Mathews employs more than 400 real estate professionals and staff in nine offices in Washington, Oregon and California. The firm completes $1.9 billion in transactions, 1,100 appraisals, and manages over 22 million square feet annually.
