Career Summary

Jeff Congdon is an executive vice president in the firm's San Francisco office, and has been in the Bay Area commercial real estate industry for 37 years. He is focused on the financial services sector of the industry, where his areas of expertise include investment sales, debt/equity financing and the negotiation of joint ventures. During his career he has completed transactions exceeding $15 billion in asset value, including a number of years when his transaction volume exceeded approximately $1 billion annually.

Mr. Congdon most recently served as executive vice president for Helmsley Spear West, Inc., where he led the firm's West Coast activities. Prior to Helmsley, Mr. Congdon served at Cushman & Wakefield's Capital Markets Group for 32 years of which he was executive director for the last 15 years. Prior to Cushman, he began his career with Grubb & Ellis's San Francisco office, when the firm was the leading real estate firm on the West Coast and was expanding nationally.

Industry Involvement/Recognition

Beginning with his employment with Grubb & Ellis and continuing through 2009, Jeff has been recognized as a Top Producer numerous times including as one of Cushman & Wakefield's top 100 Brokers in the U.S., number one producer in the Bay Area, and number one producer in the Capital Market's Group in the Bay Area and the San Francisco office. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Congdon has been very active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and has served on a number of councils and committees. In addition he has been active on the board of various organizations including: Woodside Priory School; California Pacific Medical Center Foundation; San Francisco Metropolitan YMCA; and a closely held agricultural and real estate company.

Education / Experience

Mr. Congdon carries with him over 37 years of commercial real estate experience. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor in history from University of California of Santa Barbara.
