Career Summary
Benjamin Pollock brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to Kidder Mathews, specializing in marketing opportunities to real estate developers and investors with the motivation and capability to create projects that maximize the client's asset value. His expertise includes: advising clients on the development and reuse potential of their underutilized and surplus real estate assets; preparing and executing disposition strategies for unlocking the value in the properties; and recommending deal structures and facilitating negotiations that culminate in the timely and successful completion of transactions.
Mr. Pollock was formerly an executive vice president with Jones Lang LaSalle's Development and Asset Strategy (DAS) group, specializing in acquisitions and development management, where he was instrumental in acquiring, disposing, developing and leasing projects totaling more than 4 million square feet over the course of five years. He was also vice president in acquisitions at Kennedy Associates; an institutional investment advisory firm, and for 12 years previously, he led a development, brokerage and consulting practice, with a focus on creating public-private development partnerships. Prior to this experience, he managed the pre-development of the $100 million Bell Street Pier Project in downtown Seattle, as development manager for the Port of Seattle.
Education & Affiliations
Mr. Pollock earned a MBA from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College. He is a member of Lambda Alpha International and the Urban Land Institute. He is a licensed real estate broker in the states of California and Washington.
